Hello, everyone, this is Kevin , your English teacher with Meisi.
大家好，我是Kevin. 美思的英语老师。
We have been talking about Apps for a while now. Actually one of my friends is making his own App. I think it’s going to be popular. I helped him with a lot of the work. So, I told him: “I want a slice of the pie.”
我们最近一直在谈论各种App.我的一个朋友也在做他自己的应用。我觉得肯定会特别受欢迎,并且也帮助他做了很多的工作，所以我跟他说“I want a slice of the pie”.
What does this mean? Is he going to buy or cook a pie, and cut one slice for me to eat? Actually, it means I want some of the money that he will earn. Another way to say this is “I want a cut”.
这是什么意思呢？他是要买或自己做一个饼，然后切开给我一份吗？事实上，并不是的。我的意思是要他分我一部分利润。另一种表达方式就是：“I want a cut”.
